For creatives that need grid paper that’s a bit less in-your-face, dot grid paper is a functional compromise between the ridgeness of standard square grids and the open space of gridless paper.

Behance Outfitters offers a standard set of dot-grid products: circa, book, journal, and cashier. The quality of the Behance dot-grid products is top notch and works well for general design tasks. Though a bit expensive for a paper products the Behance items are worth the money.

Yet, I’m a supporter of do-it-yourself solutions so I created a set of printable dot grid templates for general use. These templates are free to use, remix, and distribute.

According to Google, over 3.7 million new android devices were activated during the Christmas 2011 weekend. With millions of people searching for new apps for their shinny new devices I decided to list my recommended apps in a Google spreadsheet document.

Ok, I’m really doing this spreadsheet for friends that bug me for app tips so I won’t have to deal with “Hey, what’s the link to that one app that lets you draw stuff?” questions.  But, if the spreadsheet is useful for you that’s a good thing too.
